Rivermead Residents Association Meeting 3rd September 2018 Present: Pam, Marie, Marilyn, Jon, Alison, Julian and Louise Residents are reminded to be considerate and keep noise to a minimum. If there is an incident of a noise persisting then evidence of the nuisance should be provided to Freshwater. The on-site staff should be made aware of any items left in the common areas for a prolonged period. There are a number of works which will take place: *Mesh will be added around the rubbish well railings for health and safety reasons. Once the mesh is added the railings will be painted. *New entrance doors are being costed up currently, as there has been a problem with the existing ones not closing properly for some time. *The holy hedge near Yale house will be trimmed. *Risers at the entrances to the blocks are looking shabby and this was noted. *Work on the Yale House roof will take place in 2019. *It has been discovered that the blocks do not have lightning protection up to the current standard. Quotes for new lightning conductors have been obtained. Consultations have begun between Notts Wildlife Trust and the local community as to how best use the area between the medical centre and Emmanuel school where a wildlife garden may be created. A meeting took place on Thursday 6th September and more information will be provided when known. The date of the AGM is to be confirmed but is likely to be in November at the Beaches. All residents are welcome and it is hoped that there will be a good turnout. The committee is also looking for new members, so please consider joining. Date of next meeting: tbc
