Present: Pam, Marilyn, Marie, Alison, Julian and Louise Apologies: Tim Main points discussed: Repairs and maintenance Repointing of the retaining wall at the front of the complex near the garage is continuing. Delays have been incurred but this is at no cost to residents. Costings for new door closers for the front doors will be sought. There has been problems for many years with the doors not shutting properly and so a decision was made to replace the closers. Carpet which has risen up in the recess by the front door of Harvard will be repaired. The railings of the rubbish wells will be painted as they are looking a little shabby. Works to repair the Princeton House roof are complete, with work on Yale House to take place next year. New keys for the garages are on order but there has been a long delay on these arriving. These will be chased. The top of the holly hedges will be trimmed. Building/ Renovation works Freshwater should be notified if heavy work is taking place in flats after an acceptable time. A certain amount of work should be expected to take place after normal working hours but this should not be of a noisy or disruptive nature. Notts Wildlife Trust are looking for volunteers from Rivermead to join a group to discuss how best to create a nature reserve/ wildlife garden in the local area. Further details regarding how to get involved with this will follow. The annual general meeting will take place on Monday 29th October. All welcome !
