Rivermead Residents Committee Meeting 22nd January 2018 Present: Pam, Marie, Alison, John, Julian and Louise Apologies: Marilyn The gullies in the garages require cleaning as water has been spilling onto the garage floor. Julian will arrange for cleaning to take place. Andrew the caretaker will be asked to ensure the ramps going down to the garages are gritted. The walls on the entrances to the buildings require painting. The pipes around the entrances are gathering green gunge so this will be sorted out before painting takes place. Julian will arrange for the note reminding residents when the bin collections are taking place to ensure residents don’t use the shutes on collection day. The bin stores have been looking a bit grubby at times and residents using the shutes on collection day may be contributing to this as they are cleaned twice monthly. The recycling bin signs have worn off and Andrew will be asked to arrange for replacement stickers to be obtained. The committee agreed that the finish of the cavity wall insulation was not as good as expected. However the company who did the work will not be coming back to tidy up. There was good initial feedback however regarding the performance of the insulation. Julian will look into the cost of filling the voids in, in the river garden. It was noted that permission to remedy the problem may be required. A designated smoking area will be provided in the service yard (near the beauty salon). Regular walk rounds of the complex with take place with the caretaker and a member of the committee to ensure the site is in a clean and tidy state and to identify any issues. A fire risk assessment will be carried out soon. Inspections of individual front doors will need to take place to ensure they are up to the required standard. There is a leak in the roof of Princeton House which is currently being dealt with. This will be a temporary fix until the roof is repaired as part of the ongoing roof works. Residents are reminded to park responsibly and consider others.
