Rivermead Residents Committee Meeting - 25th September 2017 Present: Pam, Gill, Marilyn, Marie, Julian, Louise Apologies: Tim Staffing *Caretaker- Andrew is working full time Monday- Friday *Gardener/Assistant Caretaker - working full time Monday to a Friday to also include Saturday mornings. Committee members will meet a potential gardener/Assistant Caretaker on Weds 4th October following a successful interview with Freshwater. *Cleaner- a new cleaner Freda, who was covering illness has now been taken on by Freshwater and will work between 8-12 Monday - Friday. Residents will be written too regarding the changes in staffing. Julian will ensure the leaks in the garages are investigated and drains will be cleared out on a more regular basis. An agenda item for the AGM meeting will be a possible service tenancy. This would have a number of benefits including having a member of staff on site 24/7. An update on roofing works on Princeton and Yale will be provided at the AGM meeting. Reprinting work on the front wall has been started but the finish will be delayed due to the contractor unfortunately passing away. Freshwater are still pursuing the possibility of cavity wall insulation. More information will be provided when available. This work is not something which can be done under the service charge. Upgrading of fire doors and also cupboards is a priority and residents will be written to regarding this shortly. Inspections of all flats will be required. Again this work cannot be done under the service charge. The area of the riverside garden suffering with subsidence is still fenced off, an update will be provided regarding this in due course. The holly hedge between Yale and the social club will be trimmed as its looking a mess. A contractor is also cutting back and thinning out the wide border around the back of the site.
